Kit Malthouse MP joined residents, volunteers and community groups in Hurstbourne Tarrant for a special event celebrating local efforts to protect the environment and promote sustainable living.
Activities included community litter picks, biodiversity walks, a repair café, recycling roadshow, plant swap and children's activities, alongside information about local wildlife and conservation.
During his visit, Kit also met and spoke with representatives from Andover Trees about their work.
Speaking afterwards, he said:
“It was a real pleasure to attend Sustainable Day in Hurstbourne Tarrant and see so many local people coming together to help protect and improve our environment.
"There a fantastic range of activities from litter picks and biodiversity walks to the repair cafe, recycling advice and plenty for children to enjoy.
"I was particularly impressed by the enthusiasm of local volunteers and community groups who are doing so much to make a difference in our part of the world.
"A huge thank you and congratulations to Sustainable Bourne Valley and everyone involved in organising such a successful and well-attended event.”
Kit attended the event on Saturday 17th October at Hurstbourne Tarrant Community Centre.
