Kit joins Andover’s Nepalese community for Dashain

Kit joined Andover’s Nepalese community to celebrate Dashain.

Speaking afterwards, he said:

“It was a wonderful evening celebrating Dashain with Andover’s Nepalese community. There was a mountain of delicious food, plenty of dancing, and no shortage of laugher as everyone came together for what is the Nepalese equivalent of Christmas.

“Andover has a thriving Nepalese community with particularly strong ties to our Armed Forces and it was real pleasure to catch up with old friends and make some new ones.

“Dashain celebrates the triumph of good over evil, and it was a joyful way to mark the occasion.”

The festival took place at Wyke Down Country Pub and Restaurant on Saturday 17th October.
